MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been consulting with the UK sustainable .
Mr George stated "a variety of small companies in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to be able to get this type of market going it does need just a little bit of lift which comes in the type of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a blend of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
